Our goal at Fireside Social is to make friends. For this reason we’d like to introduce you to our Gluesticks. If you’re new here and are thinking about attending an event hopefully you can see some familiar faces.
Note: the Gluestick titles do not represent official organizational responsibilities but rather are relevant nickname designations.

Hi, I’m David. I enjoy writing fiction in my spare time. I like listening to music and audio books pretty much perpetually (always looking for interesting recommendations). Social Lights, making friends and getting people together, is my major passion. I hope to meet you at an event sometime soon!

Hi friends, Audrey here! I’m currently in college studying social work to (hopefully) be a therapist or counselor. Specifically, with teens and young adults. My day job is working to make the Lord’s chicken (aka Chick-fil-A), and I’m an event planner on the side. My hobbies include line and swing dancing, jamming out to all kinds of music, adventuring on any random side quests, petting every animal I see, playing volleyball, spending time with others, and serving whenever I can. Participating in Christian fellowship that is geared to further the Gospel through simply befriending and encouraging each other is something I had prayed about and pursued after a long time. Putting those prayers and pursuits into action alongside this team of gregarious gluesticks has answered my heart’s cry for intentional community.
I hope that, as you join in Bible studies, bonfires or banquets with Fireside Social, your heart will be edified and love Christ more through fellowshipping with His people. May you find our space of Christ’s kingdom one of encouragement, respite, and deep friendship with like-minded believers.

While I am currently attending school, I babysit and work in childcare for my church. In my free time, you can find me getting coffee, going to bible studies, doing anything adventurous or crafty, and line or swing dancing. Some other favorite side hobbies of mine are nature photography, playing the trumpet, and graphic design. I value family time and fun shenanigans with my friends and boyfriend Jeremy, whom I met at Roxy Swing Dance.
Social Lights has given me opportunities to meet people who are now in my closest circle. I hope to do the same by creating a welcoming space so others can have a great experience and get connected just as I was able to. Hope to see you at a Social Lights event!!

Yo what’s up dude, I’ve been told to give a little bit about myself so that people are more familiar with me when I show up to parties.
I am Samuel Jouf, first of his name. I am currently working as an elevator mechanic helper. I am interested in most everything, cars, books, shows, you name it. I am a vaccuum for broad knowledge and am interested with just about everything. So if you know about something, please, I invite you to talk my ear off about it. I also have a sizeable lego collection that I add to just about every month or so. I hope to earn this illustrious title of “gluestick” that has been bequeathed unto me and I hope to meet you, dear reader, very soon.

Gluestick Characteristics
As a group that focuses on improving interpersonal connections, our greatest assets are our personnel, otherwise known as Gluesticks.
Gluesticks are the ambassadors of Fireside Social. They are to be the ‘glue’ wherever they go. The aim of the Gluestick program is to have personable individuals encourage attendance, improve the quality of, participate in, and facilitate more personal social experiences. To fulfill such roles, we desire Godly, friendly, and circumspect individuals who meet the characteristics below.
Characteristic #1
A Fireside Social Gluestick should first and foremost be committed to their own relationship with Jesus Christ. They should be a faithful member of their own church as a first priority in their life.
Characteristic #2
A Fireside Social Gluestick should seek to participate in at least one interpersonal gathering, outside of Sunday church, at least once biweekly, or at least once a month if life circumstances do not permit more.
Characteristic #3
A Fireside Social Gluestick is a personal adhesive between others. As such, they ought seek to facilitate and improve connections between those around them by being willing to initiate conversation and take interest in others.
Characteristic #4
A Fireside Social Gluestick should agree with the spirit of the Social Lights mission statement and seek to carry it out.
Characteristic #5
A Fireside Social Gluestick should be proficient in at least one of the following traits: event organization, clear communication, social entertainment, conversationalism, interpersonal empathy, or hospitality.
